Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.
These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
